Therapeutic Horticulture Workshops

For grief groups, cancer support circles, caregiver groups, and recovery and life-transition groups: a calm shared hour with plants, brought to wherever your group already meets. No experience needed, and nothing to prepare.

Children's Therapeutic Workshops

Gentle plant workshops for children moving through hard seasons. We love working with children and have a long list of workshops made just for kids!

Fully Adaptable

We partner with group leaders and program coordinators who want to give their group a different kind of meeting. All workshops can be adapted, we can discuss what works best for your group. Designed with care settings in mind we can use a soil-less medium & materials gentle on sensitive skin. There is a workshop for everyone! Book as single visits or as a hosted series of four to six weekly gatherings.

What a session looks like

Whatever we're making and whoever is at the table, our sessions follow the same arc used across therapeutic horticulture practice.

1

A sensory welcome

Something to smell, touch, or hold gets passed around the table first - a sprig of rosemary, a soft leaf - so everyone lands in the room before the making begins.

2

Hands-on Making

Soil, stems, and tools, demonstrated one step at a time. Everyone moves at their own pace and enjoys steady, absorbing work with living things.

3

A reflective close

We end by admiring what everyone made. Each person leaves with their creation - a small living thing to tend to in the weeks that follow.

*A quick word about what we are: we facilitate wellness time with plants. We are not counselors, and we work alongside the support your group already has - your facilitator leads the group, and we bring the garden.
