An Introduction

With a degree in Horticulture and a background as a landscape designer, I have spent years combining my love for plants with artistic creativity. I also spent five years as a kindergarten teacher, where I loved working with children, encouraging curiosity, and sharing the fun of hands-on learning.

After walking through a season of treatments, caregiving, hospice and loss with my husband, I learned how deeply we all need moments of peace when life gets overwhelming. Working with nature brought me a quiet sense of calm, grounding, and healing during those difficult times.

I started this business to bring all of those passions together. Through creative, hands-on plant workshops, my goal is to share that same artistic outlet and peaceful escape with others—offering a welcoming space to relax, connect, and bring a little extra light and joy into a hard day.

What is therapeutic horticulture?

Therapeutic horticulture is the long-standing practice of using hands-on activities with plants and the natural world to support wellbeing - mood, senses, connection, and calm.

Unlike clinical horticultural therapy—which is typically led by a registered therapist with specific, measurable medical treatment goals—therapeutic horticulture focuses on the broader restorative benefits of working with nature. It emphasizes the process of engaging with living things rather than the final product.

Therapeutic horticulture shows us that caring for nature has a quiet, powerful way of helping us care for ourselves.
